Sharing Tea with Uncertainty.png

JULY 16th 7pm EST

Right now, making a decision about our future can feel absolutely paralyzing, because of the incredible uncertainty that exists. For many of us, this can bring up feelings of extreme anxiety and fear. You may feel like you're staring into a void.

I don't pretend to know any answers about the chaos we are all facing. I'm feeling all that anxiety too, believe me. But, I do know that the feeling of control over the future is an illusion, and it's always been. I know that the level of uncertainty that we are facing today is actually no more than we have always faced, we just had a lot more to distract us before.

That's not really meant to be comforting, it's a truth that can be hard to swallow. Still, if we can swallow it, if we can digest this idea of learning to accept and sit with uncertainty, something wonderful can happen. We can learn to act despite our fear. We can learn to leap into the void.

In this one-hour live, online workshop, I wanted to create fellowship by getting together and sharing a cup of tea. And then I'll share the ways that our meditation practice can help us strengthen the mental muscles needed to sit with discomfort. You can learn how your practice can empower and support you through these uncertain times.

I'm asking for a donation in exchange for sign-up. 100% of your donations will go to The Bail Project, specifically to support the Louisville team. You can donate as little or as much as you like. After clicking the button below - you'll receive an email with the zoom link and password.

Please note - because this will be a sharing circle, I am honoring folks' privacy and will only offer the recorded session to those who signed up beforehand. If you can't make it for the live workshop, but would like to watch it later, please go ahead and sign up with the link and let me know.
